Medical Massage

What massage therapy can do for you, the client!

Massage doesn't just feel good, it releases tension and pain in muscles, improves circulation and  lymph flow, lowers blood pressure, increases flexibility in joints, reduces mental and physical fatigue,  and assist your immune system.

Few things are as distressing as pain. Pain saps your energy and takes an emotional toll. Pain can  become a vicious cycle with a life of its own.

Massage is one of the most overlooked, yet accessible and supportive measures you can seek for  relieving pain, stress, muscle tension and aches.

Renewing your energy reserves

When you are overtaxed and feel like you are running on empty, massage can help you recharge

and restore the energy you need to meet your daily cha
llenges.

Massage and stress/tension

Stress relief is accomplished by relaxing the body and the mind.  Massage is one of the best known
antidotes for stress.  Reducing stress gives you more energy, improves your outlook on life, and in the process reduces your likelihood of injury and illness.

During massage toxins are flushed from the body. Increased circulation supplies more oxygen to the muscles, therefore the muscles tend to relax. This helps to relieve pain and tension. Massage  stimulates the release of endorphines - the body's natural pain killers. Regular massage will help your body recharge and stay healthy.

Painful or tight muscles

Massage can relieve painful muscle tension that can sap your energy, from muscle cramps to a clenched jaw.

Massage acts directly on your muscles with stretching and kneading motions.  It also stimulates the nervous system to instruct muscles to relax.

Massage flushes muscles of built-up waste products that can make you sore after exercise.

Learning how to relax

Massage for relaxation is almost always helpful. Relaxation is a skill that can be learned. By making
massage a regular part of your life you can experience the ongoing, cumulative effects of reduced
muscle tension, increased vitality, improved ability to achieve a calm state of mind, and a boosted
immune system.
